Hey guys and welcome to my blog! Today's post is about NYX Cosmetics eye shadows, the hot singles specifically. NYX make empty pallets that you can fill with your fav shadows, I chose to get the 9 pallet as I wanted to make a pallet that I could put a bunch of eye shadows in and take it anywhere and be able to create a bunch of different eye looks!

I usually go for more of a matte eye look so I have only chosen 2 shimmers and the other 7 are matte. I wanted to go for a more natural pallet as I said before I want to be able to take it anywhere and wear it everyday!

The top 3 shades in my pallet are the darkest of the shades I have chosen, from left to right the shades are - Raven, Own The Night and Happy Hour. All three of these shades are very pigmented and smooth to blend, I love how dark the black actually is, as I have found that some black eyeshadows can appear grayish.

These next 3 shades are all orange tones, from left to right the shades are - LOL, Dayclub and Showgirl. The second two shades are the two shimmers I decided to pick up, I thought that Dayclub would go really well with LOL, and I was right, blended together they actually look really nice! LOL is one of my favourite shades from NYX, and I've been trying to get my hands on it for a while, I've been looking in stores for months and they never seem to have it in stock, and online was never much better. I finally was able to get it, I guess they did a big restock, anyhow, I am great full to finally have it as I love it!

The last 3 shades I had to swatch using my fingers, as they are such light shades they were not swatching as good as the darker ones. From left to right the names are - Diomond Lust, Naked Truth and S.O.S. The white shade Dimond Lust was actually really pigmented, but unfortunately the other two were not so good. I feel like S.O.S is a lighter version of Happy Hour, but definatly a less pigmented version too. I am still happy with these shades though, they are a good base and overall starting colour which it what my intention was buying them!

The 9 pan eyeshadow palette is only £5.00, and which each shadow being only £2.50 this whole palette cost me £27.50. As most of these shadows are super pigmented and really blendable I'd say they're worth that amount. They also have a smaller 4 pan palette so if you only wanted to pick up a couple shades it would be cheaper!
Here's the look that I created with the palette, I used Naked Truth as an all over base colour, then applied Happy Hour in the crease. I then put LOL all over the lid and blended with Happy Hour in the crease, I then popped Dayclub in the inner corner of my eyes to give it a little dimension. I used a mixture of Happy Hour, LOL and Dayclub under my eyes.

Depending on the colours you choose you can create almost any eyeshadow look with these shadows. Thats what I love about the whole make your own palette, you can make it whatever you want!
